About 200,000 men and women leave the military each year. Many organizations throughout the country are holding “low stress” employment recruiting events that emphasize civilian skills such as writing a resume and interview coaching that help veterans assimilate into the civilian workforce. The process can be much different between the military and other work forces. Sometimes, a certain trade or skill learned in the military can be advantageous in the civilian workplace. Trades such as HVAC or electrical are expected to rise in demand in the near future. Sometimes even just a little retraining for civilian life can instantly provide an employer with a dedicated, loyal, and disciplined employee.
